Narrative:

We departed martha's vineyard (mvy) at XA50Z. We were handed from mvy tower to cape control. Cape control gave us a turn of 10 degrees right and a climb to 6000 ft MSL. As we turned; we acknowledged a 'TA' from our TCASII. We idented that aircraft. Right after that TA; we acknowledged an RA from our TCASII. We responded with a hard right turn and stopped the climb. I informed ATC of the RA. It took 2 calls to ATC for a response. ATC was very busy. A second controller did respond to us about our RA. I don't know if this was a supervisor or if training was being conducted. After aircraft was cleared; we continued uneventfully with the flight.
