Narrative:

I; as copilot; flew in EMB120 takeoff from wrangel; ak; to petersburg; ak. WX in psg reported 1000 ft X 5. We were in VFR flight plan. Approach to fredericks point NDB 372 fpn. We lost any visual contact with ground. Captain went down 500 ft and started turn. I called 'pull up; pull up' but he turned 180 degrees (looking better WX late sad). Flew for few seconds and completely lost our position. GPWS went off. Captain slammed power levers forward and we started climb. Airplane stayed in 45 degree bank. I called 'heading 320 degrees; heading 320 degrees.' looked at the captain; his right leg was paralyzed and moved very erratically. I called my airplane took heading 320 degrees; went lda outbound and I started talking to FSS sitka; 'close VFR plane' zan. At 12500 ft; picked up IFR clearance. Go to juneau. MSA in this area 11100 ft. Over torqued the engines. Maybe it is a good nighttime story but I don't sleep few days after this.
