Narrative:

I received notification while I was on reserve about a 4-DAY trip that was to begin two days later. The 4-DAY trip was worth 25:03. I already had a 2-DAY trip on my schedule as a line holder for the month. This trip was worth 9:05. Those two trips are all in a consecutive 7-DAY period which put me at a scheduled 34:08. In other words; crew scheduling assigned me a trip on reserve knowing that they were going to have to cancel my already-awarded 2-DAY trip as a line holder. I caught this problem on the last day of my 4 day trip assigned by crew scheduling. I called them right away and then cancelled the first day of my upcoming 2 day trip and left me on my second day by deadheading me to pick it up. This was fine. However; that last day of the 4 day trip I overblocked so much that even the last day of my trip would exceed 30 hours in 7 days. The kicker is that the times were entered into the computer wrong indicating that me flying the entire last day of the trip would be legal. From the times that I keep myself; and I even confirmed all of them with my captain; the trip would take me over the 30/7 limitation by 8 mins. They said I was blocked at 29:57; but I really blocked 30:02. The flight with wrong times was the last flight of the pairing; which was marked out of the gate 5 mins after the actual time. I called crew scheduling and talked with the coordination. She told me that I was fine and to accept the trip. I told her that the times were wrong in her computer system and that I was illegal to take the trip. She told me that I was fine and I was to take the trip. I told her that I am sorry she had the wrong times; but I actually flew more than what was indicated in her computer and that I am not legal per far's to accept the trip. She told me she was marking me down as 'unavailable.' I told her I was very available for her; but that she just had to assign me something legal. She began to raise her voice at me and told me I was contradicting myself. I asked to speak with a supervisor; but he was in a meeting at the time. I left a message. I am angry for two reasons. First; crew scheduling scheduled me for a pairing which made me illegal to fly my already awarded pairing as a line holder. This is unacceptable. I wish I would have caught the mistake before I accepted the trip; but they notified me on my cell phone when I was not near a computer. I did not ask specifically ask either if it was going to cancel any of my already awarded lines; which I shouldn't have to do anyway secondly; I find it unacceptable that crew scheduling threatens me with an 'unavailable' status when I am clearly trying to work with them to correct an far issue. This is not the first time they have threatened me with this status when I am perfectly willing to accept anything legal they have to offer me. I am tired of being antagonized and feel this attitude crew scheduling flaunts should cease.

Title: AN ACR PLT IS PRESSURED BY HIS COMPANY CREW SCHEDULING DEPARTMENT TO EXCEED FAR FLT TIME LIMITATIONS RELATIVE TO FLYING OVER 30 HRS IN 7 DAYS.

Narrative: I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION WHILE I WAS ON RESERVE ABOUT A 4-DAY TRIP THAT WAS TO BEGIN TWO DAYS LATER. I CAUGHT THIS PROB ON THE LAST DAY OF MY 4 DAY TRIP ASSIGNED BY CREW SCHEDULING. I CALLED THEM RIGHT AWAY AND THEN CANCELLED THE FIRST DAY OF MY UPCOMING 2 DAY TRIP AND LEFT ME ON MY SECOND DAY BY DEADHEADING ME TO PICK IT UP. THIS WAS FINE. HOWEVER; THAT LAST DAY OF THE 4 DAY TRIP I OVERBLOCKED SO MUCH THAT EVEN THE LAST DAY OF MY TRIP WOULD EXCEED 30 HRS IN 7 DAYS. THE KICKER IS THAT THE TIMES WERE ENTERED INTO THE COMPUTER WRONG INDICATING THAT ME FLYING THE ENTIRE LAST DAY OF THE TRIP WOULD BE LEGAL. FROM THE TIMES THAT I KEEP MYSELF; AND I EVEN CONFIRMED ALL OF THEM WITH MY CAPT; THE TRIP WOULD TAKE ME OVER THE 30/7 LIMITATION BY 8 MINS. THEY SAID I WAS BLOCKED AT 29:57; BUT I REALLY BLOCKED 30:02. THE FLT WITH WRONG TIMES WAS THE LAST FLT OF THE PAIRING; WHICH WAS MARKED OUT OF THE GATE 5 MINS AFTER THE ACTUAL TIME. I CALLED CREW SCHEDULING AND TALKED WITH THE COORD. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPVR; BUT HE WAS IN A MEETING AT THE TIME. I DID NOT ASK SPECIFICALLY ASK EITHER IF IT WAS GOING TO CANCEL ANY OF MY ALREADY AWARDED LINES; WHICH I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYWAY SECONDLY; I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT CREW SCHEDULING THREATENS ME WITH AN 'UNAVAILABLE' STATUS WHEN I AM CLRLY TRYING TO WORK WITH THEM TO CORRECT AN FAR ISSUE.
