Narrative:

Was unable to get flight plan en route on previous leg. Arrived in ZZZ with a maintenance problem with an hour to turn and depart. I did not sign the release prior to departure. We were both tired (5 days on with early east coast departures) and missed this one. The ACARS did not alert us to 'release not signed' as it normally would. Dispatch alerted us en route and flight landed in ZZZ2 uneventfully.

Narrative: WAS UNABLE TO GET FLT PLAN ENRTE ON PREVIOUS LEG. ARRIVED IN ZZZ WITH A MAINT PROB WITH AN HR TO TURN AND DEPART. I DID NOT SIGN THE RELEASE PRIOR TO DEP.
