Narrative:

Aircraft had a maintenance deferral for left main fuel gauge inoperative. Fuel summation unit was disabled per MEL. This caused a 'buffet alert' message to come up on the FMC on takeoff as soon as we were airborne. We had this aircraft for 2 legs ZZZ-ZZZ1 flight zzbc and ZZZ1-ZZZ2 flight dee and this FMC message came up on both takeoffs. This is an unsafe condition caused by the maintenance deferral procedure of disabling the fuel summation unit.
