Descending through 11000 ft; strong burning odor -- electrical suspected. Confirmed with flight attendants with regards to ovens and other electrical equipment that odor was not present in the galley or cabin. Oxygen masks were donned as odor persisted. Confirmed smoke from the vicinity of the jumpseats. Declared emergency; landed on runway 26R with emergency equipment present. Smoke dissipated after landing. Aircraft escorted to gate by emergency crews.

Narrative: DSNDING THROUGH 11000 FT; STRONG BURNING ODOR -- ELECTRICAL SUSPECTED.
