Regarding: recent security bulletin. Specifically referring to the part concerning when the agent is not present prior to boarding. It indicates the captain need not be present prior to crew members boarding if they have 'checked each other' against the log for that flight. It seems to allow him to 'verify' with the #1 that it hass been done when he does arrive. The bulletin says specifically that when no agent is present; the captain must verify this log requirement before any crew members board. I assume that the bulletin is the more accurate.

Title: PLT QUERIES HIS ACR ABOUT SPECIFICS OF A COMPANY SECURITY PROC BULLETIN.

Narrative: REGARDING: RECENT SECURITY BULLETIN. SPECIFICALLY REFERRING TO THE PART CONCERNING WHEN THE AGENT IS NOT PRESENT PRIOR TO BOARDING. IT INDICATES THE CAPT NEED NOT BE PRESENT PRIOR TO CREW MEMBERS BOARDING IF THEY HAVE 'CHKED EACH OTHER' AGAINST THE LOG FOR THAT FLT. IT SEEMS TO ALLOW HIM TO 'VERIFY' WITH THE #1 THAT IT HASS BEEN DONE WHEN HE DOES ARRIVE. THE BULLETIN SAYS SPECIFICALLY THAT WHEN NO AGENT IS PRESENT; THE CAPT MUST VERIFY THIS LOG REQUIREMENT BEFORE ANY CREW MEMBERS BOARD. I ASSUME THAT THE BULLETIN IS THE MORE ACCURATE.
