Narrative:

Upon landing in ZZZ, the inboard tire/wheel assembly for the right main landing gear was missing. It was subsequently found at the end of runway 25L, our landing runway. This was the third leg of a 5-LEG day in a B737-300. All operations previous to this were normal. Flight originated in (city), with normal preflight and takeoff. Normal catiii instrument approach and landing in next city. Normal approach/landing and takeoff in next city. Normal approach and landing in ZZZ. Slight increase in brake application noticed, and minor thrust increase required for taxi. Unnoticed until arriving at gate in ZZZ. Supplemental information from acn 641475: that was the end of the day for me. I was being replaced by a new first officer and I was deadheading to (city). The first officer who was doing his walkaround, pointed at the right side of the aircraft. He then advised us that we were missing the right inboard wheel. Callback conversation with reporter acn 641474 revealed the following information: the reporter was not advised of the cause of the loss of the tire and wheel assembly but did find out the axle was damaged to the extent the strut piston was replaced.
