Narrative:

While replacing the borrowed part which generated a log page, I noticed the maintenance manual reference I was working from (B737-400 31-26-41/401) was not the same as was used while installing it (B737-ng 31-51-04/401). I read through the ng reference and found no flight deck discrepancies (ie, pulled breakers) that may have come from using those procedures.

Title: A B737-400 TECHNICIAN REPLACING A BORROWED AURAL WARNING UNIT NOTED THE MAINT MANUAL REF NUMBER WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE MANUAL REF USED TO INSTALL THE BORROWED UNIT. THE PROCS AND TEST WERE THE SAME.
