Narrative:

Normal flight until climb out through FL260. An ECAM message and warning for cabin altitude pressure page displayed cabin altitude approximately 10100 ft. Cabin was climbing at 1000 FPM, both outflow valve showed full closed. Overboard valve showed amber XXX. I declared an emergency, followed ECAM checklist, started a rapid descent to 6000 ft. Made a PA during descent, advising passenger of problems, normal flight after descent through landing. After gate arrival maintenance advised that overboard valve was full open. MEL item avionics cooling overboard valve placarded inoperative.

Title: AN A300 CREW EXPERIENCES LOSS OF CABIN PRESSURIZATION CTL DURING CLB AT FL260. AVIONICS OVERBOARD VALVE WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE PROB BY MAINT AFTER LNDG.

Narrative: NORMAL FLT UNTIL CLBOUT THROUGH FL260. AN ECAM MESSAGE AND WARNING FOR CABIN ALT PRESSURE PAGE DISPLAYED CABIN ALT APPROX 10100 FT. CABIN WAS CLBING AT 1000 FPM, BOTH OUTFLOW VALVE SHOWED FULL CLOSED. OVERBOARD VALVE SHOWED AMBER XXX. I DECLARED AN EMER, FOLLOWED ECAM CHKLIST, STARTED A RAPID DSCNT TO 6000 FT. MADE A PA DURING DSCNT, ADVISING PAX OF PROBS, NORMAL FLT AFTER DSCNT THROUGH LNDG. AFTER GATE ARR MAINT ADVISED THAT OVERBOARD VALVE WAS FULL OPEN. MEL ITEM AVIONICS COOLING OVERBOARD VALVE PLACARDED INOP.
