Narrative:

I recently became a contract pilot on my first job as a contract pilot for a company I agreed to fly for as sic contract pilot. All aspects of the FARS were followed (part 91) with the company check airman except only 1 takeoff and landing to a full stop was accomplished. All ground, emergency, abnormal, normal procedures and any other parts of 61.55 were accomplished. I did not know about 3 required takeoffs and lndgs until I was back home and reviewed FARS for preparation as a contract pilot. I absolutely did not intend to violate any FARS and have signed up with computer training system to review all FARS, aim, winter operations, and all their general subjects. I have never done a part 91 flight before as I did in the falcon 10 for this flight and, therefore, was not familiar enough with what was required to be legal in a part 91 flight in an aircraft greater than 12500 pounds. I was current in all parts required by part 91. This was an inadvertent action that I will not repeat. I will never rely only on the check airman of any company again without reviewing the FARS and even go so far as to call the FAA or a designated examiner for guidance. In fact, I also plan on hiring a designated examiner to review all regulations pertinent to a contract pilot for part 91 and part 135.

Narrative: I RECENTLY BECAME A CONTRACT PLT ON MY FIRST JOB AS A CONTRACT PLT FOR A COMPANY I AGREED TO FLY FOR AS SIC CONTRACT PLT. ALL ASPECTS OF THE FARS WERE FOLLOWED (PART 91) WITH THE COMPANY CHK AIRMAN EXCEPT ONLY 1 TKOF AND LNDG TO A FULL STOP WAS ACCOMPLISHED. I HAVE NEVER DONE A PART 91 FLT BEFORE AS I DID IN THE FALCON 10 FOR THIS FLT AND, THEREFORE, WAS NOT FAMILIAR ENOUGH WITH WHAT WAS REQUIRED TO BE LEGAL IN A PART 91 FLT IN AN ACFT GREATER THAN 12500 LBS. I WAS CURRENT IN ALL PARTS REQUIRED BY PART 91. THIS WAS AN INADVERTENT ACTION THAT I WILL NOT REPEAT. I WILL NEVER RELY ONLY ON THE CHK AIRMAN OF ANY COMPANY AGAIN WITHOUT REVIEWING THE FARS AND EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO CALL THE FAA OR A DESIGNATED EXAMINER FOR GUIDANCE. IN FACT, I ALSO PLAN ON HIRING A DESIGNATED EXAMINER TO REVIEW ALL REGS PERTINENT TO A CONTRACT PLT FOR PART 91 AND PART 135.
