Narrative:

I was working data. Someone mentioned that they observed a conflict alert, but there was no corresponding audio alert. The controller checked her dcb audio (we're on the stars system) and her volume was off. She was unable to adjust it. Later, when I relieved this controller at a different position, I asked her if her audio worked. It didn't there either. We could not turn it on. Something is corrupted. It is not supposed to be able to be turned off! She cannot turn her audio on! Note: this has probably been this way since we moved into this new facility last april 2004.
