Narrative:

After completing our pushback from the gate (in lga) we were instructed by lga ground control to follow a DASH8 that was several txwys ahead of us. We said, we had it in sight and could follow the dash 8 to runway 4. As we approached the runway the DASH8 moved up to the B4 hold short line. The DASH8 was then cleared for takeoff. We then moved up, however, after our aircraft's nose crossed the ILS hold short line before the B4 hold line (ATC tower) said,

Title: EMB145 TAXIING FOR DEP AT LGA CROSSED ILS HOLD LINE REQUIRING GAR WITH ACFT ON FINAL.

Narrative: AFTER COMPLETING OUR PUSHBACK FROM THE GATE (IN LGA) WE WERE INSTRUCTED BY LGA GND CTL TO FOLLOW A DASH8 THAT WAS SEVERAL TXWYS AHEAD OF US. WE SAID, WE HAD IT IN SIGHT AND COULD FOLLOW THE DASH 8 TO RWY 4. AS WE APCHED THE RWY THE DASH8 MOVED UP TO THE B4 HOLD SHORT LINE. THE DASH8 WAS THEN CLRED FOR TKOF. WE THEN MOVED UP, HOWEVER, AFTER OUR ACFT'S NOSE CROSSED THE ILS HOLD SHORT LINE BEFORE THE B4 HOLD LINE (ATC TWR) SAID,
