Narrative:

Standard briefing obtained from FSS via telephone at approximately XN15 local. NOTAMS indicated daily closures of runways 18/36 and 12/30 from XA00-XM00 local. Flight from uin-dec XO15-XP15 uneventful. At XA00 following day checklists complete for preflight, before start, engine start, aircraft taxiing via taxiway F, before takeoff checklist complete, CTAF contacted advised aircraft departing runway 36 at XA20 local. Aircraft began takeoff roll, approximately 1000 ft down the runway, barriers, runway closure markings encountered. Before takeoff can be aborted aircraft encounters runway construction and the gear and propeller sustain damage. The aircraft does not sustain substantial damage per NTSB 830. Contributing factors: improper NOTAM briefing by FSS. Failure of pilot to obtain 2ND briefing. Barriers plus runway closure markings not distinct from departure end of runway at night.

AT XA00 FOLLOWING DAY CHKLISTS COMPLETE FOR PREFLT, BEFORE START, ENG START, ACFT TAXIING VIA TXWY F, BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST COMPLETE, CTAF CONTACTED ADVISED ACFT DEPARTING RWY 36 AT XA20 LCL. ACFT BEGAN TKOF ROLL, APPROX 1000 FT DOWN THE RWY, BARRIERS, RWY CLOSURE MARKINGS ENCOUNTERED. BEFORE TKOF CAN BE ABORTED ACFT ENCOUNTERS RWY CONSTRUCTION AND THE GEAR AND PROP SUSTAIN DAMAGE. THE ACFT DOES NOT SUSTAIN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE PER NTSB 830. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: IMPROPER NOTAM BRIEFING BY FSS. FAILURE OF PLT TO OBTAIN 2ND BRIEFING.
