Narrative:

Cockpit door came open on takeoff roll. It came open around 85 KTS, so I rejected the takeoff. The first officer closed and latched the door before takeoff, just not good enough. When rolling down an uneven runway it came open. We pulled off the runway, figured out our cooling times, called dispatch, called maintenance and had the airplane inspected. No defects were found. We then relaunched for cvg. All checklists followed and flight attendant notified as were the passenger. The door was secured at the gate prior to the first takeoff attempt at the appropriate time.
