Narrative:

Aircraft damage on ground. On arrival to the ramp to park at gate, there was no crew and a red light on the parking system. A crew arrived and subsequently illuminated the green light. Taxi towards the gate on the appropriate line was commenced. I was aware that the aircraft should stop when the light turned red, but for some unknown reason, I was distraction and was not aware of the light changing to red. I noticed the ground man giving me a stop signal with his hands, and at that point the light was in fact red. I stopped/shutdown the aircraft. I was advised that the nose gear door had a small gash in the composite caused by colliding with part of a baggage cart. While not aware of why I was distraction, it is worthwhile to point out that I had passed several legs of all night flying, and woke up at XA30 for this particular flight.
