Narrative:

Day 4 of a 5 day trip, early morning arrival in charlotte. Approach to minimums on runway 36R. Handed off to tower on 5 mi final. Tower responded to our call with 'slow to approach speed.' we replied and complied although we were pretty much on speed at that time. We (crew) had a brief comment about spacing on the aircraft in front of us which looked reasonable at 3+ mi. We descended into fog at 350 ft AGL and soon after picked up the approach lights. The landing was normal and the runway was clear. No comments were made about landing clearance and, in fact, we might have had one, but I don't remember receiving one and my nose landing light was still off. (I usually turn it on as my indication of a landing clearance.)
