Narrative:

Captain informed me (#1 flight attendant) on approach to ord, with landing gear down, of a warning light of fire in aircraft right engine. Aircraft right engine was shut down. Emergency landing was declared and we were to be met by crash fire rescue equipment. I advised flight attendants of situation. I reported to captain that fire/flames were not seen. Landed without incident. Taxied to gate and deplaned.
