Narrative:

On jul/sun/04, the south radar display at abq ATCT failed (went blank). Other scopes were available, but this causes an increase in workload due to computer entries that must be made in order to have control over the data tags for the aircraft that the controller is responsible for. On jul/mon/04, the south radar display failed again, and the north radar display also failed. On jul/wed/04, both the north and south scopes failed again. On jul/fri/04 the low north (J) scope failed. It was determined that the new stars revision R7A was responsible for these failures. On jul/sat/04, a patch was installed to prevent this from occurring again. As of aug/tue/04, abq has not experienced any such failures.

Narrative: ON JUL/SUN/04, THE S RADAR DISPLAY AT ABQ ATCT FAILED (WENT BLANK). OTHER SCOPES WERE AVAILABLE, BUT THIS CAUSES AN INCREASE IN WORKLOAD DUE TO COMPUTER ENTRIES THAT MUST BE MADE IN ORDER TO HAVE CTL OVER THE DATA TAGS FOR THE ACFT THAT THE CTLR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR. ON JUL/MON/04, THE S RADAR DISPLAY FAILED AGAIN, AND THE N RADAR DISPLAY ALSO FAILED. ON JUL/WED/04, BOTH THE N AND S SCOPES FAILED AGAIN. ON JUL/FRI/04 THE LOW N (J) SCOPE FAILED.
