Narrative:

We were on takeoff roll at about 120 KIAS when the tower told us to abort the takeoff. Weight approximately 111000 pounds. The captain aborted the takeoff and rejected takeoff braking engaged. We taxied clear. Ramp service chocked the wheels and then maintenance inspected the gear and said 2 tires had blown. They replaced one and we then taxied to a gate. The captain talked with tower controller and he said that their ground radar had alerted them to a vehicle on the runway, but then showed hundreds of vehicles, so was obviously in error. No injuries reported among crew or passenger. We were given a different airplane and flight attendants (they had timed out in the meantime) and continued onto lax.
