Narrative:

On final at lga with 7000 pounds of fuel, lowered landing gear and the only light that illuminated was a red nose gear light. Note this aircraft was dispatched with an inoperative FMC, inoperative APU, inoperative autothrottles. Leveled at 500 ft AGL and flew down runway 22 centerline. The aircraft felt as if the gear was down and tower said the 3 gear appeared to be down, turned downwind and ran the gear unsafe checklist (7-43). No circuit breakers were popped. Sent an ACARS message to dispatch about our problem, declared an emergency and diverted to jfk. I went aft and confirmed the visual gear down lock indicators were indicating down and locked. Landed at jfk uneventfully with 4300 pounds of fuel. Taxied clear of runway and had gear pinned. In a possibly related (or maybe unrelated) issue, after clearing the runway at jfk, both air conditioning packs tripped off. Prior to this time, the flight experienced no air conditioning or pressurization problems.

Title: A B737 FLT CREW DECLARE AN EMER AND DIVERT TO JFK DUE TO A FAULTY LNDG GEAR INDICATOR.

Narrative: ON FINAL AT LGA WITH 7000 LBS OF FUEL, LOWERED LNDG GEAR AND THE ONLY LIGHT THAT ILLUMINATED WAS A RED NOSE GEAR LIGHT. SENT AN ACARS MESSAGE TO DISPATCH ABOUT OUR PROB, DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED TO JFK. I WENT AFT AND CONFIRMED THE VISUAL GEAR DOWN LOCK INDICATORS WERE INDICATING DOWN AND LOCKED. LANDED AT JFK UNEVENTFULLY WITH 4300 LBS OF FUEL. TAXIED CLR OF RWY AND HAD GEAR PINNED.
