Narrative:
Situational awareness is critical between aircraft at dfw airport and dallas love airport. In a south flow dfw runs runway 17 and dal runway 13. This converging situation led to a loss of standard separation between a C550 at dal and an MD80 at dfw. As ATC, it is critical to be aware of base turns towards dal are made in a timely manner and not become distraction by other events. In this case a late turn quickly places a dal arrival in close proximity to the dfw final.
