Narrative:

Made a visual approach to runway 19R at fai in good VFR WX and was cleared to land by the tower. On short final, I noticed a pickup truck parked perpendicular to the runway centerline, just north of the displaced threshold. Our landing path did not need to be adjusted and we were well clear of the truck. There is construction going on in this area as noted on the ATIS. We had thoroughly checked the charts for the various phases of construction. The remainder of the runway was clear and it was obvious that there would be no safety issues to complete our landing. We called the tower and he acknowledged our report. We checked with the ground controller and he confirmed that the truck should not have been there.

ON SHORT FINAL, I NOTICED A PICKUP TRUCK PARKED PERPENDICULAR TO THE RWY CTRLINE, JUST N OF THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD. OUR LNDG PATH DID NOT NEED TO BE ADJUSTED AND WE WERE WELL CLR OF THE TRUCK. THE REMAINDER OF THE RWY WAS CLR AND IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THERE WOULD BE NO SAFETY ISSUES TO COMPLETE OUR LNDG. WE CALLED THE TWR AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED OUR RPT. WE CHKED WITH THE GND CTLR AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THE TRUCK SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE.
