Narrative:

A B717 aircraft came in for maintenance on jul/wed/04. A service check was done on the aircraft and a number of faults were found on the r-hand engine electronic controller. The faults were narrowed down to the b-channel of the engine electronic controller. I went to change the eec (electronic engine controller) on the r-hand engine. I pulled up the maintenance manual for changing the eec and replaced it. The aircraft went down to the flight line for the morning flight after the maintenance was complete. It was found that I missed a temporary revision in the maintenance manual for the eec change. This was found before the aircraft left for the flight, so the steps in the temporary revision that were different than the maintenance manual were performed and the aircraft was returned to service.

Narrative: A B717 ACFT CAME IN FOR MAINT ON JUL/WED/04. A SVC CHK WAS DONE ON THE ACFT AND A NUMBER OF FAULTS WERE FOUND ON THE R-HAND ENG ELECTRONIC CTLR. THE FAULTS WERE NARROWED DOWN TO THE B-CHANNEL OF THE ENG ELECTRONIC CTLR. I WENT TO CHANGE THE EEC (ELECTRONIC ENG CTLR) ON THE R-HAND ENG. I PULLED UP THE MAINT MANUAL FOR CHANGING THE EEC AND REPLACED IT. THE ACFT WENT DOWN TO THE FLT LINE FOR THE MORNING FLT AFTER THE MAINT WAS COMPLETE. IT WAS FOUND THAT I MISSED A TEMPORARY REVISION IN THE MAINT MANUAL FOR THE EEC CHANGE. THIS WAS FOUND BEFORE THE ACFT LEFT FOR THE FLT, SO THE STEPS IN THE TEMPORARY REVISION THAT WERE DIFFERENT THAN THE MAINT MANUAL WERE PERFORMED AND THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SVC.
