Narrative:

Taxiing to active runway 34 at sterling, ma (3b3). Cannot see final leg of traffic pattern because of line of tall trees lining the side of the runway. Stopped 200 ft short of threshold to try and look for traffic on final. Could see no aircraft. No radio calls received. Started to taxi last 200 ft to runway threshold, heard a radio call: 'aircraft taxiing, glider on final!' could not see the glider, so I stopped. A moment later, glider appeared from behind trees and landed. Horizontal separation 100 ft. I then proceeded to the runway and departure without incident. Recommend trees at runway be removed. Airport is uncontrolled and there is no way to see aircraft on final approach to runway 34. If trees cannot be removed, recommend gliders have battery radios to announce their position in pattern.
