Narrative:

Cockpit indication disagreement. Concerns flight sti-jfk. During climb to cruise, we received a #1 reverser light along with a caution light. After following procedure and careful assessment by both of us (no buffet, no bank), I deemed declaration of emergency not needed. Returned to sti and made precautionary landing as per procedure. Supplemental information from acn 623558: after following the procedure for this, I offered the suggestion of the possibility of an emergency declaration to the captain. We returned to sti for a precautionary landing as per procedure.
