Narrative:

A left engine inboard thrust reverser was being replaced on a B737-300 aircraft. I was on the last shift of the job for close-up of cowlings and paperwork. A final inspection was performed, all items intact and svcable. On the subsequent flight outbound, a passenger noticed a small pylon panel leaving the aircraft. This has happened in the past. Perhaps a better securing system is necessary.
