Narrative:

In the descent on the bonham arrival near karla intersection, we noticed the left engine oil pressure flashing and out of limits at 56 psi, 1 psi over the limit. By reducing thrust in accordance with the checklist, we were able to keep the light out. All other indications, temperature and quantity, were normal. We advised approach that we were declaring an emergency for operating an engine at reduced thrust and landed uneventfully on runway 17R in VMC conditions and shut the left engine down after clearing the runway. Maintenance removed and replaced left engine oil pressure transmitter. Leak and operations checked good.
