Narrative:

I was advised by FAA that I violated a tfr near richmond, ky. It was my intention to fly west of the tfr and to be above it at 6000 ft. Pilot error caused me to violate the tfr as it was reported to me that they recorded me on radar at 5500 ft over the tfr. I have flown the route twice since the occurrence and taken the necessary steps to ensure I do not violate it again. So you can see by my hours, I am a new pilot. Also, I now use flight following for all my cross country flts, get tfr/WX briefings prior to flts, an added step to avoid this happening again.
