Narrative:

ATIS stated winds 210 degrees at 7 KTS gusting to 20 KTS. On landing, we experienced -10 KTS to +20 KTS, 700 ft AGL to touchdown. We reported to tower. He didn't acknowledge the report, just stated we were cleared to cross runway 25R and contact ramp tower. As we taxied, another air carrier also made the +20 KT report, and tower again did not acknowledge the report, just to taxi behind us. I feel that although that aircraft had heard our report, the tower should have either asked if he heard it, or advised him of it. On departure, (XA30 local), we were cleared for takeoff on runway 19L, and we asked if there had been any windshear reports. The tower's response was 'affirmative, cleared for takeoff.' that seems unacceptable. Imparting specific knowledge should be required. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter transits las multiple times weekly. Reporter stated that this has been a one time event for him. Reporter hopes that the controller has since found out the importance of communicating these events and is now more 'in tune' with windshear importance.

Title: LNDG LAS RWY 25L, MD83 FLT CREW ADVISE LCL CTLR OF WINDSHEAR WITH NO CTLR EVENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. TAXIING, RPTR AGAIN HEARS AN ACFT RPT WINDSHEAR WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. DEPARTING LATER, RPTR AGAIN RECEIVES APPARENT LACK OF CONCERN WHEN ASKING FOR WINDSHEAR RPTS.

Narrative: ATIS STATED WINDS 210 DEGS AT 7 KTS GUSTING TO 20 KTS. ON LNDG, WE EXPERIENCED -10 KTS TO +20 KTS, 700 FT AGL TO TOUCHDOWN. WE RPTED TO TWR. HE DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE THE RPT, JUST STATED WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 25R AND CONTACT RAMP TWR. AS WE TAXIED, ANOTHER ACR ALSO MADE THE +20 KT RPT, AND TWR AGAIN DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE RPT, JUST TO TAXI BEHIND US. I FEEL THAT ALTHOUGH THAT ACFT HAD HEARD OUR RPT, THE TWR SHOULD HAVE EITHER ASKED IF HE HEARD IT, OR ADVISED HIM OF IT. ON DEP, (XA30 LCL), WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 19L, AND WE ASKED IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY WINDSHEAR RPTS. THE TWR'S RESPONSE WAS 'AFFIRMATIVE, CLRED FOR TKOF.' THAT SEEMS UNACCEPTABLE. IMPARTING SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE SHOULD BE REQUIRED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR TRANSITS LAS MULTIPLE TIMES WEEKLY. RPTR STATED THAT THIS HAS BEEN A ONE TIME EVENT FOR HIM. RPTR HOPES THAT THE CTLR HAS SINCE FOUND OUT THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATING THESE EVENTS AND IS NOW MORE 'IN TUNE' WITH WINDSHEAR IMPORTANCE.
