Narrative:
I was on an approximately heading of 236 degrees en route to shannon in what was uncontrolled VFR airspace. I was intercepted by an F18 approximately 100 ft in front of me. I looked at charts to verify where I was. Thought to myself I must have wandered into a tfr. The jet headed me into a southern heading. I tuned to 121.5, heard nothing. Tuned to 120.5, NAS patuxent approach. Told them my situation. They informed me I was in the ADIZ. They gave me a heading, a frequency and a phone number to call when I landed at shannon. I did not know there was an ADIZ here at all.
