Narrative:
Oil service door for left engine secure, but had a loose hinge. Advised ZZZ1 tech of loose hinge. Item written in maintenance record. Aircraft was ok for service and item should have had a 10 day limit rather than a 30 day limit. Door was not in danger of separating from aircraft had been inspected and needed a 10 day with the deferral.

Title: AN MD80 L ENG OIL SVC DOOR LOOSE HINGE WAS DEFERRED PER THE TECHNICIAN FOREMAN BUT WAS INCORRECTLY ENTERED IN THE MAINT HISTORY WITH A 3 DAY LIMIT VERSUS A 10 DAY LIMIT.
Narrative: OIL SVC DOOR FOR L ENG SECURE, BUT HAD A LOOSE HINGE. ADVISED ZZZ1 TECH OF LOOSE HINGE. ITEM WRITTEN IN MAINT RECORD. ACFT WAS OK FOR SVC AND ITEM SHOULD HAVE HAD A 10 DAY LIMIT RATHER THAN A 30 DAY LIMIT. DOOR WAS NOT IN DANGER OF SEPARATING FROM ACFT HAD BEEN INSPECTED AND NEEDED A 10 DAY WITH THE DEFERRAL.
