Narrative:

In holding pattern at 28000 ft, bleed trip off light came on, right side. Followed QRH procedure. Light went out, proceeded normally. Approximately 15 mins later, altitude warning horn came on. Cabin pressure was above 10000 ft and climbing at 500 FPM. QRH items accomplished and cabin continued to climb at 500 FPM. At 13000 ft cabin altitude, we requested to descend to 10000 ft. The cabin pressure started to stabilize coming down through 18000 ft. At 10000 ft aircraft held normal pressure. Vectors to normal approach and landing.

Title: A B737-500 FLT LOSES THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE AT FL280. AFTER QRH USE AND A REQUESTED DSCNT TO 10000 FT THE CABIN HOLDS ASSIGNED LEVEL OF PRESSURE.

Narrative: IN HOLDING PATTERN AT 28000 FT, BLEED TRIP OFF LIGHT CAME ON, R SIDE. FOLLOWED QRH PROC. LIGHT WENT OUT, PROCEEDED NORMALLY. APPROX 15 MINS LATER, ALT WARNING HORN CAME ON. CABIN PRESSURE WAS ABOVE 10000 FT AND CLBING AT 500 FPM. QRH ITEMS ACCOMPLISHED AND CABIN CONTINUED TO CLB AT 500 FPM. AT 13000 FT CABIN ALT, WE REQUESTED TO DSND TO 10000 FT. THE CABIN PRESSURE STARTED TO STABILIZE COMING DOWN THROUGH 18000 FT. AT 10000 FT ACFT HELD NORMAL PRESSURE. VECTORS TO NORMAL APCH AND LNDG.
