Narrative:

On the teb 5 departure, ATC said heading 280 degrees and altitude 1500 ft. The departure says to climb to 2000 ft at the teb 4.5 DME. I asked ATC to confirm 1500 ft and they said to climb to 2000 ft. This was done at 4.5 DME anyway. Although, if ATC had any delay in responding to me, we would have not been sure of what they wanted.
