Narrative:

During radar vector to ILS approach runway 7L at dab received TCASII advisory on an aircraft 500 ft below us. We were on radar vector turn to base leg with clearance to descend through the conflicting aircraft's altitude. I (PNF) saw the aircraft. We appeared to be turning towards it with clearance to descend through its altitude. I immediately told the first officer to level off and stop the turn. Then I notified approach control of the visual sighting and TCASII alert. The controller told us to 'maintain visual separation.' moments later the controller assigned us an immediate turn to intercept the localizer. I am not aware of any loss of separation conflict, but assume the 'immediate turn' vector was to avoid a different aircraft. TCASII showed 500 ft vertical separation from the sighted aircraft. I assume the sighted aircraft was not under ATC control but do not know its status. It appeared to be a light single propeller aircraft of some sort.

Title: UNAUTH AIRSPACE PENETRATION AND POTENTIAL CONFLICT BTWN AN OUTBOUND VFR GA ACFT AND A DSNDING MD88 ON VECTORED ARR 10 MI W OF DAB, FL.

Narrative: DURING RADAR VECTOR TO ILS APCH RWY 7L AT DAB RECEIVED TCASII ADVISORY ON AN ACFT 500 FT BELOW US. WE WERE ON RADAR VECTOR TURN TO BASE LEG WITH CLRNC TO DSND THROUGH THE CONFLICTING ACFT'S ALT. I (PNF) SAW THE ACFT. WE APPEARED TO BE TURNING TOWARDS IT WITH CLRNC TO DSND THROUGH ITS ALT. I IMMEDIATELY TOLD THE FO TO LEVEL OFF AND STOP THE TURN. THEN I NOTIFIED APCH CTL OF THE VISUAL SIGHTING AND TCASII ALERT. THE CTLR TOLD US TO 'MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION.' MOMENTS LATER THE CTLR ASSIGNED US AN IMMEDIATE TURN TO INTERCEPT THE LOC. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY LOSS OF SEPARATION CONFLICT, BUT ASSUME THE 'IMMEDIATE TURN' VECTOR WAS TO AVOID A DIFFERENT ACFT. TCASII SHOWED 500 FT VERT SEPARATION FROM THE SIGHTED ACFT. I ASSUME THE SIGHTED ACFT WAS NOT UNDER ATC CTL BUT DO NOT KNOW ITS STATUS. IT APPEARED TO BE A LIGHT SINGLE PROP ACFT OF SOME SORT.
