Narrative:
Landed in ZZZ after 8 hour flight. Maintenance reported a small, non-structural composite panel had delaminated. The top layer had come off leaving the honeycomb and bottom layer intact. The aircraft is an over 30 yr old DC10. A closer and more frequent inspection of similar composite panels may be in order.

Narrative: LANDED IN ZZZ AFTER 8 HR FLT. MAINT RPTED A SMALL, NON-STRUCTURAL COMPOSITE PANEL HAD DELAMINATED. THE TOP LAYER HAD COME OFF LEAVING THE HONEYCOMB AND BOTTOM LAYER INTACT. THE ACFT IS AN OVER 30 YR OLD DC10. A CLOSER AND MORE FREQUENT INSPECTION OF SIMILAR COMPOSITE PANELS MAY BE IN ORDER.
