Narrative:

After a full stop landing on runway 17R at david wayne hooks airport (dwh), I did not stop until past the hold short line and infringed on the approach area for runway 17L. Cleared the runway at taxiway east and stopped at, or slightly beyond taxiway F. Aircraft on final went around. Tower asked me to call when I got back in. Tower personnel called my FBO while I was at the desk and I called them right back. The error was obviously my fault, as I should have come to a complete stop much sooner. Lessons learned: 1) should have considered, earlier, the turn off and hazards associated with it. 2) should have come to a complete stop immediately upon clearing runway 17R, instead of letting aircraft roll. 3) should have been more aware of traffic on parallel runway.

Title: AN EXTREMELY HIGH TIME C152 PLT ADMITTED THAT HE BLEW PAST THE RWY 17L HOLD SHORT LINE AFTER LNDG ON DWH'S RWY 17R.

Narrative: AFTER A FULL STOP LNDG ON RWY 17R AT DAVID WAYNE HOOKS ARPT (DWH), I DID NOT STOP UNTIL PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND INFRINGED ON THE APCH AREA FOR RWY 17L. CLRED THE RWY AT TXWY E AND STOPPED AT, OR SLIGHTLY BEYOND TXWY F. ACFT ON FINAL WENT AROUND. TWR ASKED ME TO CALL WHEN I GOT BACK IN. TWR PERSONNEL CALLED MY FBO WHILE I WAS AT THE DESK AND I CALLED THEM RIGHT BACK. THE ERROR WAS OBVIOUSLY MY FAULT, AS I SHOULD HAVE COME TO A COMPLETE STOP MUCH SOONER. LESSONS LEARNED: 1) SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERED, EARLIER, THE TURN OFF AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. 2) SHOULD HAVE COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IMMEDIATELY UPON CLRING RWY 17R, INSTEAD OF LETTING ACFT ROLL. 3) SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE AWARE OF TFC ON PARALLEL RWY.
