Narrative:

Descending through approximately 14000 ft, the #2 engine oil filter bypass light illuminated. We referenced the QRH for the engine oil filter bypass, which directed us to an engine shutdown. Following completion of the filter bypass checklist, we referenced the engine failure and shutdown checklist for the shutdown. We completed the checklist and declared the emergency with ATC, we requested they roll the fire trucks and asked for a delayed vector to allow us to complete the remaining checks prior to landing. Before running the #1 engine inoperative landing checklist, I called our company dispatch to inform them of our situation, and to let them know we declared the emergency with ATC. We then completed the #1 engine inoperative landing checklist. The landing was uneventful and after clearing the runway we terminated our emergency.
