Narrative:

While talking with dlh approach control, we were advised that a cessna was on a right base for runway 27. We did not see the aircraft. We continued the approach. We were cleared for a visual approach as we had the airport in sight. Visibility was called at 3 mi with a ceiling of 10000 ft. When turning final, tower advised us that the cessna was on a 1/2 mi final. We still did not see the cessna. TCASII displayed only a TA with no alerts as we were close to landing. At about 150 ft, tower instructed the cessna to go around. We still did not see the cessna. When we were over the end of the runway, we saw the cessna just ahead and above our aircraft. A very uncomfortable situation. I called the tower. Tower manager mentioned that the cessna was instructed to sidestep during the go around, which he did not. The 2 airplanes (ours and the cessna) were within 500 ft of each other. I failed to submit an near midair collision form. But after considering the situation, I determined it was a hazard to both aircraft.

Title: E145 EXPERIENCED A CLOSE CALL ON TOUCHDOWN WITH A PRECEDING CESSNA AT DLH.

Narrative: WHILE TALKING WITH DLH APCH CTL, WE WERE ADVISED THAT A CESSNA WAS ON A R BASE FOR RWY 27. WE DID NOT SEE THE ACFT. WE CONTINUED THE APCH. WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH AS WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT. VISIBILITY WAS CALLED AT 3 MI WITH A CEILING OF 10000 FT. WHEN TURNING FINAL, TWR ADVISED US THAT THE CESSNA WAS ON A 1/2 MI FINAL. WE STILL DID NOT SEE THE CESSNA. TCASII DISPLAYED ONLY A TA WITH NO ALERTS AS WE WERE CLOSE TO LNDG. AT ABOUT 150 FT, TWR INSTRUCTED THE CESSNA TO GO AROUND. WE STILL DID NOT SEE THE CESSNA. WHEN WE WERE OVER THE END OF THE RWY, WE SAW THE CESSNA JUST AHEAD AND ABOVE OUR ACFT. A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SIT. I CALLED THE TWR. TWR MGR MENTIONED THAT THE CESSNA WAS INSTRUCTED TO SIDESTEP DURING THE GAR, WHICH HE DID NOT. THE 2 AIRPLANES (OURS AND THE CESSNA) WERE WITHIN 500 FT OF EACH OTHER. I FAILED TO SUBMIT AN NMAC FORM. BUT AFTER CONSIDERING THE SIT, I DETERMINED IT WAS A HAZARD TO BOTH ACFT.
