Narrative:

Flight departed dfw normally. After crossing the bahamas, we couldn't get our meals or water because a male passenger passed out in the lavatory next to the cockpit and we had to get his wife in there to wake him up and return him to his seat. Next, passenger in first class showed obvious signs of intoxication to multiple flight attendants and they asked me what to do. I told them to cut her off from more liquor and she became abusive and pursued them to the galley in a verbal tirade. I observed this from the peep hole. I instructed a non revenue uniformed captain to proceed to the forward galley. I sent a message to dispatch to have security meet the aircraft at sju. I instructed the flight attendants to issue written instructions to the passenger to stay in her seat and desist from further disruptive behavior. She reluctantly complied. My concern is that these individuals probably should not have been boarded in the first place and placed the aircraft in a jeopardy situation. My concern also is that management agent met the airplane at sju instead of security. We have only 1 captain on an aircraft and I propose a change to part one that clarifies armed law enforcement or management when I request security to meet the aircraft. I do not advocate having to call ATC for security as that will trigger a host of unnecessary events. This situation could have easily gotten out of hand at the gate with an injury to a flight attendant as the lady was quite mad at being cut off from liquor. I also want some feedback that we are not rewarding her for her behavior. We could create a more belligerent passenger by letting her get away with it.

Title: A B757 CAPT RPTED A SERIES OF PAX MISCONDUCT INCIDENTS DURING AN OVERWATER FLT WHICH CULMINATED IN MISHANDLING BY THE COMPANY'S GND PERSONNEL.

Narrative: FLT DEPARTED DFW NORMALLY. AFTER XING THE BAHAMAS, WE COULDN'T GET OUR MEALS OR WATER BECAUSE A MALE PAX PASSED OUT IN THE LAVATORY NEXT TO THE COCKPIT AND WE HAD TO GET HIS WIFE IN THERE TO WAKE HIM UP AND RETURN HIM TO HIS SEAT. NEXT, PAX IN FIRST CLASS SHOWED OBVIOUS SIGNS OF INTOXICATION TO MULTIPLE FLT ATTENDANTS AND THEY ASKED ME WHAT TO DO. I TOLD THEM TO CUT HER OFF FROM MORE LIQUOR AND SHE BECAME ABUSIVE AND PURSUED THEM TO THE GALLEY IN A VERBAL TIRADE. I OBSERVED THIS FROM THE PEEP HOLE. I INSTRUCTED A NON REVENUE UNIFORMED CAPT TO PROCEED TO THE FORWARD GALLEY. I SENT A MESSAGE TO DISPATCH TO HAVE SECURITY MEET THE ACFT AT SJU. I INSTRUCTED THE FLT ATTENDANTS TO ISSUE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS TO THE PAX TO STAY IN HER SEAT AND DESIST FROM FURTHER DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR. SHE RELUCTANTLY COMPLIED. MY CONCERN IS THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS PROBABLY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BOARDED IN THE FIRST PLACE AND PLACED THE ACFT IN A JEOPARDY SIT. MY CONCERN ALSO IS THAT MGMNT AGENT MET THE AIRPLANE AT SJU INSTEAD OF SECURITY. WE HAVE ONLY 1 CAPT ON AN ACFT AND I PROPOSE A CHANGE TO PART ONE THAT CLARIFIES ARMED LAW ENFORCEMENT OR MGMNT WHEN I REQUEST SECURITY TO MEET THE ACFT. I DO NOT ADVOCATE HAVING TO CALL ATC FOR SECURITY AS THAT WILL TRIGGER A HOST OF UNNECESSARY EVENTS. THIS SIT COULD HAVE EASILY GOTTEN OUT OF HAND AT THE GATE WITH AN INJURY TO A FLT ATTENDANT AS THE LADY WAS QUITE MAD AT BEING CUT OFF FROM LIQUOR. I ALSO WANT SOME FEEDBACK THAT WE ARE NOT REWARDING HER FOR HER BEHAVIOR. WE COULD CREATE A MORE BELLIGERENT PAX BY LETTING HER GET AWAY WITH IT.
