Narrative:
On taxi in , approaching gate area, we were rammed by a fuel truck. It was not visible before turning into the alleyway and impacted the #2 engine as we turned. The truck was going too fast, faster than we were taxiing and approached us from behind where he was not visible to us. At no time should ground vehicle pass or attempt to pass a moving aircraft in such close proximity.

Title: A LARGE TRANSPORT ACR, INBOUND TO GATE PARKING AREA, IS HIT ON THE #2 ENG FROM THE REAR BY AN OVERTAKING FUEL TRUCK AT SFO, CA.
Narrative: ON TAXI IN , APCHING GATE AREA, WE WERE RAMMED BY A FUEL TRUCK. IT WAS NOT VISIBLE BEFORE TURNING INTO THE ALLEYWAY AND IMPACTED THE #2 ENG AS WE TURNED. THE TRUCK WAS GOING TOO FAST, FASTER THAN WE WERE TAXIING AND APCHED US FROM BEHIND WHERE HE WAS NOT VISIBLE TO US. AT NO TIME SHOULD GND VEHICLE PASS OR ATTEMPT TO PASS A MOVING ACFT IN SUCH CLOSE PROX.
