Narrative:

I arrived at the flying club to file an IFR flight plan and performed a preflight of the aircraft intended for use. At approximately XB20, I placed a second call to the tower to obtain the current status of the runway reopening. The controller was very nice and told me the runway was on schedule to open at XB30. During our conversation, I asked the tower if they thought whether or not I'd have any difficulties in getting the aircraft out of the flying club area. The controller told me he wouldn't be a good person to provide such an opinion since he was not an airplane driver. I thanked the controller for his assistance and told him I'd give them a call on the radio once I made it out of the flying club area. I started the aircraft with the appropriate checklist and proceeded to taxi the aircraft out of the flying club area and onto taxiway D. Approximately 20 yards on taxiway D, I contacted ground on 121.70 and told them I was up from the flying club area and was requesting taxi instructions to the runway. The controller came back and indicated that taxiway D was closed and gave a short explanation that the runway was open and briefed me on where the snow removal crews were currently working at on the airport. After this transmission, I thought to myself for approximately 10 seconds as to what had just been communicated to me by the controller. At approximately 100 yards from taxiway F, I requested permission to taxi on taxiway F to the runway hold short line. The controller came back and voiced that since I had already come down taxiway D so far that I didn't have many other options. At that very point, I communicated to the controller that I was not trying to be confrontational about the situation and would return to the flying club if he so instructed. I was cleared to taxi onto taxiway F and was told by the controller we were not going to have any further discussion about this situation and he requested I call the tower by phone upon my landing in addison. I responded that I would call him by phone upon my landing. After landing at augusta, I called ZZZ tower to discuss the situation. The controller said he was not going to have any future discussion about the situation and 'was going to do what he had to do' (please remember, the controller instructed he told me to call him via phone upon my landing). I told him fine, and the conversation was discontinued.

Title: BE36 DEP FROM BEC ARPT EXPERIENCED COM CONFUSION REGARDING TAXIING.

Narrative: I ARRIVED AT THE FLYING CLUB TO FILE AN IFR FLT PLAN AND PERFORMED A PREFLT OF THE ACFT INTENDED FOR USE. AT APPROX XB20, I PLACED A SECOND CALL TO THE TWR TO OBTAIN THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE RWY REOPENING. THE CTLR WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD ME THE RWY WAS ON SCHEDULE TO OPEN AT XB30. DURING OUR CONVERSATION, I ASKED THE TWR IF THEY THOUGHT WHETHER OR NOT I'D HAVE ANY DIFFICULTIES IN GETTING THE ACFT OUT OF THE FLYING CLUB AREA. THE CTLR TOLD ME HE WOULDN'T BE A GOOD PERSON TO PROVIDE SUCH AN OPINION SINCE HE WAS NOT AN AIRPLANE DRIVER. I THANKED THE CTLR FOR HIS ASSISTANCE AND TOLD HIM I'D GIVE THEM A CALL ON THE RADIO ONCE I MADE IT OUT OF THE FLYING CLUB AREA. I STARTED THE ACFT WITH THE APPROPRIATE CHKLIST AND PROCEEDED TO TAXI THE ACFT OUT OF THE FLYING CLUB AREA AND ONTO TXWY D. APPROX 20 YARDS ON TXWY D, I CONTACTED GND ON 121.70 AND TOLD THEM I WAS UP FROM THE FLYING CLUB AREA AND WAS REQUESTING TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO THE RWY. THE CTLR CAME BACK AND INDICATED THAT TXWY D WAS CLOSED AND GAVE A SHORT EXPLANATION THAT THE RWY WAS OPEN AND BRIEFED ME ON WHERE THE SNOW REMOVAL CREWS WERE CURRENTLY WORKING AT ON THE ARPT. AFTER THIS XMISSION, I THOUGHT TO MYSELF FOR APPROX 10 SECONDS AS TO WHAT HAD JUST BEEN COMMUNICATED TO ME BY THE CTLR. AT APPROX 100 YARDS FROM TXWY F, I REQUESTED PERMISSION TO TAXI ON TXWY F TO THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE. THE CTLR CAME BACK AND VOICED THAT SINCE I HAD ALREADY COME DOWN TXWY D SO FAR THAT I DIDN'T HAVE MANY OTHER OPTIONS. AT THAT VERY POINT, I COMMUNICATED TO THE CTLR THAT I WAS NOT TRYING TO BE CONFRONTATIONAL ABOUT THE SIT AND WOULD RETURN TO THE FLYING CLUB IF HE SO INSTRUCTED. I WAS CLRED TO TAXI ONTO TXWY F AND WAS TOLD BY THE CTLR WE WERE NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS SIT AND HE REQUESTED I CALL THE TWR BY PHONE UPON MY LNDG IN ADDISON. I RESPONDED THAT I WOULD CALL HIM BY PHONE UPON MY LNDG. AFTER LNDG AT AUGUSTA, I CALLED ZZZ TWR TO DISCUSS THE SIT. THE CTLR SAID HE WAS NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY FUTURE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE SIT AND 'WAS GOING TO DO WHAT HE HAD TO DO' (PLEASE REMEMBER, THE CTLR INSTRUCTED HE TOLD ME TO CALL HIM VIA PHONE UPON MY LNDG). I TOLD HIM FINE, AND THE CONVERSATION WAS DISCONTINUED.
