Narrative:
Incident occurred during a flight from bjx to dfw. The passenger in question had a boarding pass with seat in coach and asked where his seat was. The moment he spoke I could smell the liquor on his breath. He continued to speak loudly and act funny. I quickly informed the #1 flight attendant who went to investigate. She returned and informed the captain. The captain requested the gate agent who, in turn, requested the supervisor. The #1 flight attendant and I explained very clearly the situation to the supervisor, however, the supervisor made me go to the back and identify the passenger personally, even though I gave him the seat number. I did so under protest. I felt I was being placed in the middle of a situation that could have gotten out of hand. Fortunately, the passenger deplaned without further incident. The passenger was with 2 other passenger who also deplaned.
