Narrative:

15 mins into our flight, we got a TCASII RA. We were northbound on J174 north of ilm VOR. ATC gave us a 'left turn 15 degrees, climb and maintain FL290.' as we climbed through FL274 our TCASII called traffic, followed by 'descend, descend.' I disconnected the autoplt and followed the TCASII commands. After notifying ATC, we were told to level off at FL270. About 5 seconds after the RA, we heard aircraft Y call out an RA. Aircraft Y said they were climbing. We did have the traffic in sight. It appeared that ATC had us climbing to FL290 and aircraft Y descending to FL280. When the TCASII called out our traffic we had them in sight at our 2 O'clock position. It appeared that we were on a head-on collision. We are thankful that the TCASII did its job. I am not sure why ATC put us on a vector. There was a lot of traffic in the area at the time. Hopefully, this does not happen too often.

Title: C650 AT FL270 WITH ZJX EXPERIENCED TCASII RA EVENT DURING ATC ISSUED VECTORS.

Narrative: 15 MINS INTO OUR FLT, WE GOT A TCASII RA. WE WERE NBOUND ON J174 N OF ILM VOR. ATC GAVE US A 'L TURN 15 DEGS, CLB AND MAINTAIN FL290.' AS WE CLBED THROUGH FL274 OUR TCASII CALLED TFC, FOLLOWED BY 'DSND, DSND.' I DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND FOLLOWED THE TCASII COMMANDS. AFTER NOTIFYING ATC, WE WERE TOLD TO LEVEL OFF AT FL270. ABOUT 5 SECONDS AFTER THE RA, WE HEARD ACFT Y CALL OUT AN RA. ACFT Y SAID THEY WERE CLBING. WE DID HAVE THE TFC IN SIGHT. IT APPEARED THAT ATC HAD US CLBING TO FL290 AND ACFT Y DSNDING TO FL280. WHEN THE TCASII CALLED OUT OUR TFC WE HAD THEM IN SIGHT AT OUR 2 O'CLOCK POS. IT APPEARED THAT WE WERE ON A HEAD-ON COLLISION. WE ARE THANKFUL THAT THE TCASII DID ITS JOB. I AM NOT SURE WHY ATC PUT US ON A VECTOR. THERE WAS A LOT OF TFC IN THE AREA AT THE TIME. HOPEFULLY, THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TOO OFTEN.
