Narrative:

Ord taxi instructions to runway 32R on taxiway B. Taxi out from gates, ord. Clearance was 'taxi to runway 32R, taxiway B, bravo bridge to runway 32R.' we followed taxiway B expecting to arrive at runway 32R and hold short at the hold bars for runway 32R. Continued taxi, when notified by ord ground that we had passed runway 32R and to double back via 2 left turns (taxiway H, taxiway H2). After doubling back, we saw both the hold bars and red runway signs on taxiway H2, which we never saw on taxiway B. Upon closer inspection or ord page 20-9, it reveals that taxiway B does not actually take you to runway 32R, but requires a left turn from taxiway B to taxiway P and then a quick right turn to runway 32R. A call to ord tower after arriving in lax revealed that there was no runway incursion reported or otherwise. As soon as possible submitted to help identify potentially misleading taxi instructions from taxiway B to runway 32R -- a rarely used departure runway.

Narrative: ORD TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO RWY 32R ON TXWY B. TAXI OUT FROM GATES, ORD. CLRNC WAS 'TAXI TO RWY 32R, TXWY B, BRAVO BRIDGE TO RWY 32R.' WE FOLLOWED TXWY B EXPECTING TO ARRIVE AT RWY 32R AND HOLD SHORT AT THE HOLD BARS FOR RWY 32R. CONTINUED TAXI, WHEN NOTIFIED BY ORD GND THAT WE HAD PASSED RWY 32R AND TO DOUBLE BACK VIA 2 L TURNS (TXWY H, TXWY H2). AFTER DOUBLING BACK, WE SAW BOTH THE HOLD BARS AND RED RWY SIGNS ON TXWY H2, WHICH WE NEVER SAW ON TXWY B. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION OR ORD PAGE 20-9, IT REVEALS THAT TXWY B DOES NOT ACTUALLY TAKE YOU TO RWY 32R, BUT REQUIRES A L TURN FROM TXWY B TO TXWY P AND THEN A QUICK R TURN TO RWY 32R. A CALL TO ORD TWR AFTER ARRIVING IN LAX REVEALED THAT THERE WAS NO RWY INCURSION RPTED OR OTHERWISE. ASAP SUBMITTED TO HELP IDENT POTENTIALLY MISLEADING TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FROM TXWY B TO RWY 32R -- A RARELY USED DEP RWY.
