Narrative:
Right-3 door slide inflation bottle had low air pressure. No slide sli-1102 in stock. Reviewed on line MEL procedures, called technician, received MEL. I believe I was in compliance with the MEL. When I became aware of the event the slide was already replaced at dfw. I found the MEL to be misleading.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH DOOR R-3 ESCAPE SLIDE INFLATION BOTTLE PRESSURE BELOW LIMITS. DEFERRED IN CONFLICT WITH MEL.
Narrative: R-3 DOOR SLIDE INFLATION BOTTLE HAD LOW AIR PRESSURE. NO SLIDE SLI-1102 IN STOCK. REVIEWED ON LINE MEL PROCS, CALLED TECHNICIAN, RECEIVED MEL. I BELIEVE I WAS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE MEL. WHEN I BECAME AWARE OF THE EVENT THE SLIDE WAS ALREADY REPLACED AT DFW. I FOUND THE MEL TO BE MISLEADING.
