Narrative:

My son and I, departed 2k7 to cmh and fueled up after getting a brief from flight service (kansas city) to cev. We encountered some broken clouds but landed VFR for fuel. I checked the WX and studied the movement of the front and decided to investigate and or attempt to fly on. At 7500 ft we were above all broken clouds, the more east we flew the worse the WX got. With dayton approach, flight following the whole way, we asked to leave frequency to check the WX. With the WX, I decided to turn around 180 degrees and land at cev. I was now squawking with columbus approach. Approach asked if I would sooner land at cmh, I complied and descended from 11500 ft to 7500 ft as we entered clouds. With vectors from columbus approach, I landed runway 28 with no complications (we encountered minimal ice). I must note: columbus approach and the tower were very helpful in vectoring through the clouds.

Narrative: MY SON AND I, DEPARTED 2K7 TO CMH AND FUELED UP AFTER GETTING A BRIEF FROM FLT SVC (KANSAS CITY) TO CEV. WE ENCOUNTERED SOME BROKEN CLOUDS BUT LANDED VFR FOR FUEL. WITH DAYTON APCH, FLT FOLLOWING THE WHOLE WAY, WE ASKED TO LEAVE FREQ TO CHK THE WX. WITH THE WX, I DECIDED TO TURN AROUND 180 DEGS AND LAND AT CEV. I WAS NOW SQUAWKING WITH COLUMBUS APCH. APCH ASKED IF I WOULD SOONER LAND AT CMH, I COMPLIED AND DSNDED FROM 11500 FT TO 7500 FT AS WE ENTERED CLOUDS. WITH VECTORS FROM COLUMBUS APCH, I LANDED RWY 28 WITH NO COMPLICATIONS (WE ENCOUNTERED MINIMAL ICE). I MUST NOTE: COLUMBUS APCH AND THE TWR WERE VERY HELPFUL IN VECTORING THROUGH THE CLOUDS.
