Narrative:

Prior to departure (block-out) we are required to send a 'final weight and balance' which has the maximum takeoff gross weight annotated, through ACARS. If it all works normally, we get an audio 'bong' with the final weight and balance, in which I then put my employee number and takeoff gross weight, and then send it prior to block-out. In this situation, we didn't get the final bong, and due to other distrs, we blocked out without sending it. The distrs were: deicing, slot time, busy leg, last leg of our pairing, last min clearance which gave us an unanticipated runway, foreign field with many unique procedural items to brief. I'm going to suggest to our company that they add something to checklist to ensure this gets accomplished.
