Narrative:

Flight was planned for a standard power takeoff for runway 8L at ZZZ. Derated takeoff was selected on the tmc. Approaching the runway I noticed the windsock indicating a possible tailwind and mentioned that to first officer (PF) who selected toga to select maximum power. We were cleared for takeoff with the wind reported calm. Autothrottles were armed and EPR engaged. The left engine appeared to lag slightly behind the right on acceleration. I advanced the left throttle to achieve the maximum EPR setting of 1.76 only to hit the stops on the quadrant. By that time we had accelerated through 80 KTS. The maximum takeoff EPR that was obtained on the left engine was 1.70 which was the standard power EPR setting. Maximum power was not required for our takeoff and standard power was obtained on the left engine so I elected to continue the takeoff. During climb out all engine parameters were normal. I selected continuous power on the tmc and both engines achieved maximum continuous power. Then I reselected climb for the remainder of the climb out. Off time ZZZ was at XA42Z. All engine parameters during the rest of the flight were normal. The following was my right up to air carrier maintenance left engine did not produce maximum power on takeoff from ZZZ, 1.76 EPR commanded 1.70 EPR achieved. All other parameters normal. Climb and cruise performance normal.

Title: A B757-200 RPTS L ENG DID NOT MAKE CALCULATED TKOF PWR 1 PT 76 EPR MADE 1 PT 70 EPR. CLB AND CRUISE PARAMETERS NORMAL.

Narrative: FLT WAS PLANNED FOR A STANDARD PWR TKOF FOR RWY 8L AT ZZZ. DERATED TKOF WAS SELECTED ON THE TMC. APCHING THE RWY I NOTICED THE WINDSOCK INDICATING A POSSIBLE TAILWIND AND MENTIONED THAT TO FO (PF) WHO SELECTED TOGA TO SELECT MAX PWR. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF WITH THE WIND RPTED CALM. AUTOTHROTTLES WERE ARMED AND EPR ENGAGED. THE L ENG APPEARED TO LAG SLIGHTLY BEHIND THE R ON ACCELERATION. I ADVANCED THE L THROTTLE TO ACHIEVE THE MAX EPR SETTING OF 1.76 ONLY TO HIT THE STOPS ON THE QUADRANT. BY THAT TIME WE HAD ACCELERATED THROUGH 80 KTS. THE MAX TKOF EPR THAT WAS OBTAINED ON THE L ENG WAS 1.70 WHICH WAS THE STANDARD PWR EPR SETTING. MAX PWR WAS NOT REQUIRED FOR OUR TKOF AND STANDARD PWR WAS OBTAINED ON THE L ENG SO I ELECTED TO CONTINUE THE TKOF. DURING CLBOUT ALL ENG PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL. I SELECTED CONTINUOUS PWR ON THE TMC AND BOTH ENGS ACHIEVED MAX CONTINUOUS PWR. THEN I RESELECTED CLB FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE CLBOUT. OFF TIME ZZZ WAS AT XA42Z. ALL ENG PARAMETERS DURING THE REST OF THE FLT WERE NORMAL. THE FOLLOWING WAS MY RIGHT UP TO ACR MAINT L ENG DID NOT PRODUCE MAX PWR ON TKOF FROM ZZZ, 1.76 EPR COMMANDED 1.70 EPR ACHIEVED. ALL OTHER PARAMETERS NORMAL. CLB AND CRUISE PERFORMANCE NORMAL.
