Narrative:

On taxiing to the ramp, we found out that our gate was occupied. Ground controller advised us to the deicing pad (4R). At the same time she was talking to 2-3 more aircraft. At first she advised to taxi via taxiway T, taxiway K to deicing pad to hold. But she was talking to a number of other airplanes at the same time, so we got confused who she was talking to. When we asked again what to do, the controller just said to taxi to the deicing pad 4R, which was straight ahead on taxiway a to U10. We started moving on taxiway Q to U10 to the pad. The controller asked us where we were going. We said 'to the pad.' then she said that we were supposed to take a left on taxiway T, right on taxiway K to the pad. We said that we misunderstood her. That is it.
